CURRENT WORK

Although this project is still in the sketching and concept phase, the goal is to take these and begin to extrude elements, 3D, using a variety of methods and tools. The rule is that each drawing within a circle must touch the adjacent drawing at the corresponding node. These include architectural hand modeling techniques, CNC router and lathe, metal sculpture. The background and foreground will vary from painted surfaces to rendered surfaces. Each theme is one that I have been exploring since I started my architectural and art career.

SKETCHES

The sketches in this gallery are just that, sketches. They are explorations of different themes, styles, techniques, and colors. They often times represent my personality or emotions at the time they were drawn.

STUDIES

These studies are more architectural by nature. They were and are completed mainly while traveling, and often times as I am walking with my sketchbook in hand. They tend to be drawn quickly, however, I still seek precision. Many of them are exploring geometries and rules behind the subject building or statue. Many of them are based on general rules of perspective.

CONTINUOUS NOTEBOOK SKETCHES

These sketches are more fluid and continuous than the previous galleries. They often times come about after a series of study sketches. The perspectives that are grounded in rules are broken and twisted and the sketches become surreal. My memory and impressions drive the recreations of scenes that were walked by or observed earlier.
