CIRCLES

This sculpture series was experimental in using CNC and laser cutting techniques. The projects range from a wall piece to a model for an architecture project.

PRIMATE

Cars are a cultural phenomenon. They are not only pieces of art as they come out of the assembly plants, but they are also canvas' for people to further create and express themselves. Through modifications to curating a piece like this project, we can make something mass made into a unique and beautiful piece. For this project, I created a geometric representation of an ape, using the fender blinker as one of the eyes, and matched it to the neon wheels, just in time for the car show.  Spray paint on metal.

THIRD PERSON

Although this piece was created a while ago, I keep coming back to it. It is my only self portrait and it embodies a sculptural theme that I enjoy and am pursuing. Although it is rough and conceptual, I can visualize where it can go. Graffiti and street art are beautiful expressions of art but how can we make them more sculptural. This piece explores that. I used plaster molds, MDF, acrylic paint, and spray paint.
